Solo & Duo Competition Entry

Cali ACT offer two Solo & Duo competitions – Preliminary (usually held in March and/or April) and Championship (usually held in May).

Entry to these competitions are done online through the myStage competition management platform.  

Entry can be completed by coaches, parents/guardians or competitors (18 years and over).

TO ENTER CALI ACT SOLO & DUO COMPETITIONS:

STEP 1:

  • Log into your myStage account. 
  • If you do not have a myStage account click on the sign-up button at the top of the myStage home page.  Instructions on setting up an account and entering the competitions can be found here.

STEP 2:

  • Enter the competitions through your myStage account.  Instructions on how to enter using the myStage system can be found here. 
    • Note:- the Preliminary and Championship competitions are listed separately in myStage.  If competitors are entering both competitions be sure that entries are completed for both competition listings.
    • Duo competitors:- entry must be completed by ONE member of the Duo only.  To be able to complete the Duo entry duo partners will need to share their myStage profiles prior to entering. Instructions can be found here.

Due to the increase in entry numbers over the last few years it is likely that each competition will run over two weekends.  Scheduling will be confirmed once entries have been finalized (first week in March).

PERFORMANCE RECORDINGS

Performance recordings are included in entry fees.  They will be distributed electronically via Dropbox.  

To be sure that you receive your competitor's performance recording please make sure your email address in the competitors profile is up to date prior to the entry closing date.  

Links to your competitor's Dropbox Performance Recording will be sent closer to the Competition date. 

Coaches will also receive their competitor's Dropbox Performance Recording link via the email attached to their Cali ACT Coach Registration.

SOLO GRADING FAQ FOR MYSTAGE ENTRY

 My Soloist did not compete in the previous Cali ACT Solo Season:     

  • Competitors with previous solo competition experience -  please ensure your coach has submitted a Cali ACT Solo Grading Application before the close of Solo Season Entry date.  
  • Competitors with NO previous solo competition experience - will be graded according to the Cali ACT Grading Protocols .
  • Duos / Trios - do not need a grading.
